Der Morgen danach (German the morning after) — the fifth single by Swiss gothic metal band Lacrimosa released on 6 August 2001 in the run-up to Fassade release.
It was released by Hall of Sermon and also by successful German label Nuclear Blast. The single includes 4 tracks with two versions of “Der Morgen Danach”among of them.
“Der Morgen Danach” is connected with the previous album Elodia conceptually as it continues the final composiotion of the album — “Am Ende stehen wir zwei”.
“Vankina” is the only song by Lacrimosa, the lyrics of which is written by Anne Nurmi completely in her mother tongue – Finnish. The composition belongs to ambient genre of music and, thus, seems to be out of character of late Lacrimosa.
